Following the Puppetry Safeguarding Roundtable, this concluding talk brings together the collective insights, reflections and recommendations shared by traditional puppetry practitioners, researchers and cultural workers from across Asia. Together, they will explore how Malaysia can continue strengthening the safeguarding, transmission and sustainable development of its diverse puppetry traditions through collaboration, education and community engagement.

Prof. Dr. Tan Sooi Beng(陳瑞明教授)
A distinguished Malaysian scholar specialising in traditional performing arts, ethnomusicology and intangible cultural heritage. Prof. Tan has worked extensively with traditional arts practitioners across Malaysia and Southeast Asia, contributing to research, documentation, education and cultural safeguarding.
馬來西亞著名學者,專研民族音樂學、傳統表演藝術及非物質文化遺產,多年來持續與馬來西亞及東南亞各地傳統藝術工作者合作,致力於研究、文化紀錄、教育推廣及文化保存工作。
Dr Ang Ming Chee(洪敏芝博士)
General Manager of George Town World Heritage Incorporated (GTWHI) and a UNESCO-accredited facilitator for Intangible Cultural Heritage. Her work focuses on heritage management, community engagement and the sustainable safeguarding of cultural heritage.
喬治市世界遺產機構(GTWHI)總經理,亦為 UNESCO 認證非物質文化遺產引導員,長期投入文化遺產管理、社區參與及文化永續保存工作。
