Warisan Performance Night is the grand showcase of Warisan Berbunga – New Blossoms from Tradition, celebrating the diversity and evolution of Malaysia's living puppetry traditions.

Bringing together Wayang Kulit Kelantan, Teochew iron-rod puppetry, contemporary puppetry, shadow theatre and a special community collaboration, the evening presents a vibrant journey through heritage, creativity and cultural exchange. Each performance reflects a unique artistic voice while demonstrating how traditional puppetry continues to inspire new stories, new generations and new possibilities.

《花種新生》大匯演之夜 為 Penang Puppet Festival 2026《生花 BERBUNGA》 第二單元 Warisan Berbunga 的重點節目，匯聚馬來西亞多元偶戲藝術，呈現傳統與當代交織的精彩舞台。

演出集結 吉蘭丹皮影戲、潮州鐵枝木偶戲、當代偶劇場、影子戲，以及特別策劃的社區共創演出，透過不同藝術形式，展現馬來西亞偶戲文化的豐富面貌，也讓觀眾看見傳統如何持續在創新、教育與跨文化交流中綻放新的生命力。

🪆 Fish Lim Yun Xin - Mira

A contemporary puppet performance that invites audiences into the magical world of puppetry through imagination, movement and play. Blending everyday objects, contemporary puppets and interactive storytelling, the performance reveals how ordinary things can be transformed into extraordinary characters, celebrating the limitless possibilities of puppetry beyond tradition.

以當代偶劇場帶領觀眾走進偶的奇妙世界，透過想像、肢體、互動及不同形式的當代偶，讓平凡物件化身充滿生命力的角色，邀請大小朋友一同探索偶戲無限的創意與可能性。

🪔 Akademi Arjunasukma - Hikayat Seri Rama

Experience the timeless artistry of Wayang Kulit Kelantan, one of Malaysia's most treasured traditional performing arts. Featuring masterful storytelling by Tok Dalang Pak Abe Yie, accompanied by traditional music and beautifully crafted leather puppets, this performance brings a classic episode from the Hikayat Seri Rama vividly to life.

由 Tok Dalang Pak Abe Yie 領銜，呈獻馬來西亞最具代表性的傳統表演藝術之一——吉蘭丹皮影戲。透過精緻的皮影偶、傳統樂隊與說唱藝術，重新演繹《Hikayat Seri Rama》中的經典故事，展現皮影戲深厚的文化底蘊與藝術魅力。

🎎 Iron Gang Puppet Theatre（鐵枝幫）- Si Tanggang

A special presentation of Si Tanggang performed by the next generation of puppeteers, celebrating the continuity of Teochew iron-rod puppetry through mentorship, learning and performance. This presentation reflects how traditional craftsmanship continues to flourish through a new generation of artists.

由新生代偶師共同演繹《Si Tanggang》，展現潮州鐵枝木偶戲如何透過新一代傳承者持續扎根、延續，讓傳統技藝在舞台上繼續綻放，也象徵著世代交替所孕育出的新生命力。

🌑 Plasticity Theatre Troupe

Through contemporary shadow theatre, Plasticity Theatre Troupe combines light, movement and visual storytelling to create a poetic theatrical experience. The performance pushes the boundaries of traditional shadow play, demonstrating how shadows can become a powerful language for imagination and contemporary expression.

Plasticity Theatre Troupe 以當代影子戲結合光影、肢體與視覺劇場，創造充滿想像力的舞台體驗。作品突破傳統影子戲的框架，以嶄新的劇場語言探索光與影的無限可能，展現當代表演藝術的創新魅力。

🦜 Bright Ong – Helmeted Hornbill: Before the Afterlife

Puppeteer and puppet maker Bright Ong presents an original contemporary puppetry work inspired by the critically endangered Helmeted Hornbill. Through handcrafted puppets and visual storytelling, the performance raises awareness of wildlife conservation and encourages audiences to reflect on humanity's relationship with nature.

由偶師兼製偶師 Bright Ong 創作及操演，以極度瀕危的犀鳥（Helmeted Hornbill）為主題，透過手工製作的戲偶與當代偶戲語言，引導觀眾重新思考人與自然的關係，並喚起對環境保育及珍稀野生動物的關注。

🦌 Pay Fong Middle School（培風中學） – Sang Kancil dan Buaya

A student-led experimental puppetry production inspired by the beloved Malay folktale Sang Kancil dan Buaya (The Mousedeer and the Crocodiles). Developed as a school project, the performance demonstrates how traditional stories can be reimagined through creativity, collaboration and puppetry.

由培風中學學生創作與演出的校園實驗作品，以馬來民間傳說《Sang Kancil dan Buaya》（靈鹿與鱷魚）為題材，透過偶戲重新演繹耳熟能詳的故事，展現校園藝術教育、創意實踐，以及傳統故事在年輕世代中的新生命。

🗣 Performances are presented in multiple languages, including Bahasa Malaysia, Teochew and non-verbal theatrical forms. 演出包含馬來語、潮州話及非語言劇場表現形式。

💬 English and Chinese surtitles will be provided for selected performances. 部分節目將提供中英文字幕。

📸 Photography, audio recording and video recording are not permitted during the performance. 演出期間請勿拍照、錄音或錄影。

⏰ Late admission is subject to venue policy. 演出開始後，遲到觀眾須依現場工作人員安排入場。
