About the Workshop｜關於工作坊

Wayang Kulit Kelantan is one of Malaysia’s most distinctive traditional performing arts, combining intricately designed puppets, storytelling, music and the skills of the Tok Dalang, or master puppeteer.

In this hands-on workshop, participants will be introduced to the visual characteristics and craftsmanship of Wayang Kulit Kelantan puppets. Guided by experienced practitioners, they will learn basic puppet-making techniques and create their own Wayang Kulit-inspired puppet to take home.

The workshop offers an accessible introduction to the artistry and living cultural heritage behind Malaysia’s traditional shadow theatre.

吉蘭丹皮影戲是馬來西亞極具代表性的傳統表演藝術，結合精緻的戲偶造型、故事演繹、傳統音樂，以及皮影戲偶師 Tok Dalang 的操偶與說唱技藝。

本工作坊將帶領參加者認識吉蘭丹皮影戲偶的造型特色與製作工藝。在資深藝術工作者的指導下，參加者將學習基本的戲偶製作技巧，並完成一件屬於自己的皮影戲偶作品。

透過親手製作，參加者將更深入地認識馬來西亞傳統皮影戲背後的藝術與活態文化。

Akademi Arjunasukma

Established on 18 February 2008, Akademi Arjunasukma is a Malaysian arts organisation founded by Mohd Sulhie Bin Yusuf, also known as Pak Abe Yie.

Based in Kelantan and Selangor, the organisation works across traditional performing arts, including the production and supply of performance costumes, accessories and traditional musical instruments. Through performances, training and cultural programmes, it promotes greater appreciation and continued engagement with Malaysia’s traditional arts.

Akademi Arjunasukma 成立於 2008 年 2 月 18 日，由 **Mohd Sulhie Bin Yusuf（Pak Abe Yie）**創辦。

團隊以吉蘭丹及雪蘭莪為主要據點，從事傳統表演藝術相關工作，包括表演服飾、舞台配件及傳統樂器的製作與供應，並透過演出、培訓及文化活動，推動大眾認識和參與馬來西亞傳統藝術。

Mohd Sulhie Bin Yusuf（Pak Abe Yie）

Mohd Sulhie Bin Yusuf, widely known as Pak Abe Yie, is the founder and Managing Director of Akademi Arjunasukma. A Tok Dalang, educator and traditional performing arts practitioner, he has worked extensively in Wayang Kulit Kelantan, Dikir Barat and other Malaysian performance traditions.

He is also known for exploring contemporary approaches to traditional arts, including the integration of digital projection and new technologies into performance.

**Mohd Sulhie Bin Yusuf（Pak Abe Yie）**為 Akademi Arjunasukma 的創辦人兼董事經理，也是一名皮影戲偶師、教育工作者及傳統表演藝術實踐者。

他長期投入吉蘭丹皮影戲、Dikir Barat 及其他馬來西亞傳統表演藝術，並積極探索數碼投影與新科技在傳統演出中的運用。

Participant Notes｜參與須知

👥 Recommended for participants aged 14 and above. 建議年滿 14 歲的參加者報名。

🎨 All workshop materials will be provided. 工作坊所需材料均由主辦單位提供。

🗣 Conducted in Bahasa Melayu, with assistance where required. 工作坊以馬來語進行，並視需要提供語言協助。

✨ Participants may bring home their completed puppet. 參加者可將完成的皮影戲偶作品帶回家。
