About the Workshop｜關於工作坊

Shadow puppetry is one of Southeast Asia's oldest storytelling traditions, where handcrafted puppets, light and movement come together to create magical performances.

In this interactive workshop, participants will learn the basics of shadow puppetry before designing and making their own shadow puppet. They will also discover simple puppetry techniques and experience how stories can be brought to life through imagination and play.

No prior experience is required—just bring your creativity!

影子戲（Wayang Kulit）是東南亞歷史最悠久的傳統表演藝術之一，透過光、影與戲偶，演繹出充滿想像力的故事世界。

本工作坊將帶領孩子認識影子戲的基本概念，並親手設計及製作自己的影子戲偶，同時學習簡單的操偶技巧，體驗如何透過光影、動作與創意，讓故事活靈活現。

無需任何經驗，只要帶著好奇心與創意，一起享受光影偶戲的樂趣！

Dr. Fiona Wong E. Chiong（王奕璋博士）& Sunway University Students

Dr. Fiona Wong is a lecturer at Sunway University with a passion for arts education and creative learning. She actively develops educational programmes that encourage children to explore culture through hands-on artistic experiences.

黃怡瓊博士為 Sunway University 講師，長期投入藝術教育與創意學習，致力於透過體驗式教學，引導孩子探索藝術、文化與創作。

Plasticity Theatre Troupe

Plasticity Theatre Troupe is a Penang-based theatre collective dedicated to puppetry, visual theatre and creative education. The troupe collaborates with artists, educators and communities to inspire learning through performance and hands-on workshops.

Plasticity Theatre 劇團來自檳城，致力於當代偶戲、視覺劇場及創意教育，經常透過演出、工作坊及跨界合作，讓不同年齡層體驗偶戲藝術的魅力。

Participant Notes｜參與須知

👧 Recommended for children aged 5–14. 建議 5–14 歲兒童參加。

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents or guardians are encouraged to accompany younger children. 年幼參加者建議由家長或監護人陪同。

🎨 All workshop materials will be provided. 所有製作材料均由主辦單位提供。

🗣 Workshop conducted in English. 工作坊將以英文進行。

👥 Limited seats available. Advance registration is recommended. 名額有限，建議提前報名。
