About
Most city streets are built with cars in mind. If you cycle, you notice this fast.
Kayuh Terus Tour takes you onto the streets of Kuala Lumpur with Velo Express KL, a team of bicycle couriers who ride through the city every working day. Over a relaxed evening ride, they’ll share how they read the road, stay aware in traffic, and find their way around the city’s tricky spots.
Whether you already cycle in the city or have always wondered if you could, this is a friendly way to find out.

Along the way, you’ll stop at a pop-up bike kitchen to pick up basic bicycle maintenance tips. You’ll also visit a growing community project: cyclists’ stories about riding in KL are being collected for a zine, which will be exhibited at Sang Wot Coffee Shop.
What to Bring
- Your own bicycle. Bicycles are not provided. Please make sure yours is in good working condition (brakes, tyres and chain).
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that are suitable for cycling and short walks.
- Bring mask, water, raincoat, and consider a small bag for your belongings.
- A helmet. Strongly encouraged for your safety.
About your host
Velo Express KL is a rider-owned courier service founded by Mickey in 2015. Its riders deliver documents for companies and parcels for small local businesses by bicycle, offering same-day delivery across the Kuala Lumpur metro area. Bicycles keep delivery times predictable because they move more easily through traffic jams and avoid the parking limits, fees and fines that slow motor vehicles in dense parts of the city.
Important Ticketing Policies
To make this experience enjoyable for everyone and to protect our team’s efforts in putting it together, please read the following before booking:
- All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be given for no-shows, participant cancellations or late arrivals. Please arrive at Sang Wot Coffee Shop 10 to 15 minutes before the start time. Late arrivals may miss important information at the start and cannot join once the ride has begun.
- Tickets cannot be transferred to other sessions or dates, so please check your availability before booking.
- The tour goes ahead in light rain or shine, so dress for the weather. If a session cannot take place because of heavy rain or unsafe conditions, the organiser has the final say and may postpone it. Refunds are only given if the tour cannot be rescheduled, or has less than 5 registered participants, and is at the organiser’s discretion.
- This tour takes place on public roads shared with other traffic. We care about your safety, but participation is at your own risk, and the organiser and Velo Express KL are not liable for unforeseeable incidents. Please follow the riders’ instructions and traffic rules throughout. If you have a medical condition or health concern, please check with us before booking and let the riders know before the tour starts.
- Please be respectful to fellow participants, the riders and the people we meet along the way. Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may lead to removal from the tour without a refund.
- Participants must be 18 years old or above.
- No alcohol or prohibited substances before or during the tour. Participants who are under the influence may be removed without a refund.
- Please don’t litter, and help us keep the streets and public spaces we ride through clean.
- The organiser and its partners may take photos and videos during the tour for documentation and promotion. If you prefer not to appear, please tell us at the start of the session.
- The organiser reserves the right to change the date, time, route or content of the tour if needed for safety or other reasons beyond our control. We’ll keep you updated on any significant changes.
