講座 Talk: 布袋戲在印尼：當代風貌與未來展望 POTEHI in Indonesia: Current Practices and Future Prospects

Wayang Potehi has developed a unique identity in Indonesia, shaped by migration, cross-cultural interactions and historical change. While rooted in the traditions brought by Chinese migrants, it has evolved through continuous dialogue with local communities, creating a distinctive performing art that reflects Indonesia's multicultural society.

In this talk, Dr. Tung Yuan-Hsin shares over a decade of research on the history, performance practices and contemporary development of Wayang Potehi in Indonesia. Drawing on long-term fieldwork with puppetry practitioners and communities in Java, she explores how the tradition has adapted to changing social and cultural landscapes, the role of cross-ethnic collaboration in its revitalisation, and the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for Indonesian Potehi.

印尼布袋戲（Wayang Potehi）隨著華人移民傳入印尼，歷經百餘年的發展，在不同族群、文化與歷史背景的交融下，逐漸形成獨具特色的藝術樣貌，成為印尼多元文化的重要一環。

本場講座由董遠欣博士分享其十多年來對印尼布袋戲的研究成果，透過長期與印尼爪哇地區布袋戲藝師及社群合作的田野經驗，介紹印尼布袋戲的歷史發展、表演特色與當代實踐，並探討跨族群合作如何推動布袋戲的再脈絡化，以及印尼布袋戲未來在文化保存、創新與國際交流上的發展潛力。

Dr. Tung Yuan-Hsin（董遠欣博士）

Dr. Tung Yuan-Hsin is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Research Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences, National Science and Technology Council, Taiwan. She received her PhD in Ethnomusicology from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.

Over the past decade, she has conducted long-term collaborative research with Wayang Potehi practitioners and communities in Java, Indonesia. Her research focuses on cross-ethnic interactions in Wayang Potehi performances, examining how the tradition has been recontextualised across local, international and digital cultural spaces, and how it contributes to shaping civic national identity in contemporary Indonesia.

董遠欣博士現任臺灣國家科學及技術委員會人文社會科學研究中心博士級研究員，畢業於美國夏威夷大學馬諾阿分校民族音樂學博士。

近十年來，她長期與印尼爪哇地區布袋戲（Wayang Potehi）藝師及社群合作研究，聚焦於當代印尼布袋戲的表演實踐、跨族群互動，以及布袋戲如何在印尼國內外展演場域與實體、虛擬文化空間中被重新脈絡化，進而建構與傳遞當代印尼公民國族認同。
