JessC’s International Crossover Music Journey: From the Asian Stage to the World

Since 2012, JessC (Dr. Jessie Chung) has been active on the international stage, with her artistic footprint extending across Greater China, Australia, the United States, Europe, and other global markets. She is a multidisciplinary crossover artist, singer, actress, and certified music therapist, known for her diverse musical expression, refined emotional interpretation, and powerful presence across both stage and screen.

To date, JessC has released 15 albums, including Six Feet Deep, My Style, The Sky Without Tears, Dekati, There You Are, and Be Strong. Her international English album Six Feet Deep received extensive radio airplay across the United States, Europe, and China, with more than 450 radio stations adding her songs to their playlists. The album entered 17 music charts and ranked among the Top 3 on several platforms, including Global Music Chart and I Radio. Her works have also been featured by Rolling Stone and distributed globally by Universal Music.

In terms of international media exposure and global reach, JessC’s music has gained attention from major media outlets and platforms including Billboard, iHeartRadio, Rolling Stone, EARMILK, FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC, MSN, Baidu, Sina.com, and the Associated Press. Her songs have been played, reported, and featured in more than 30 countries and over 100 cities. To date, her artistic career has received more than 1,000 international media features from 28 countries, reflecting her growing influence on the global music scene.

In the area of international music awards, JessC has received increasing recognition in recent years. In 2025, she won “Best Asian Pop” at the InterContinental Music Awards (ICMA) in the United States, gaining international attention for My Style 我就是我. She later won Gold in the Pop Vocal category at the Fenix Award International Music Competition in Europe with her English-language song One Chance, earning her the title “Golden Voice Queen of Europe.”

JessC also achieved remarkable success at the 2026 LIT Music Awards in the United States, winning 3 Platinum Winner awards and 1 Gold Winner award — a major international breakthrough. Her Malay-language work Mari Menari Raya, English-language work Expose, and Mandarin work 我就是我 were all awarded Platinum in the “Best World Music” category. Her English-language song One Chance received Gold Winner recognition and further earned double honours in “Best Song” and “Best New Artist.” With this achievement, JessC has been recognized as one of the rare artists — and reportedly the first — to receive honours at the same international award platform with winning works in three different languages, marking an extraordinary milestone in her career.

In other international recognitions, JessC won a Bronze Medal at the Global Music Awards for Mari Menari Raya. One Chance was also selected as a finalist at the World Songwriting Awards, earning recognition as Best Pop Song – Finalist (Winter 2026). These achievements further highlight her strength in pop music composition, cross-cultural performance, and international award recognition.

Beyond music awards, JessC’s visual works have also gained international attention. In theatre, JessC has also taken leading roles in numerous major stage productions, including The Sky Without Tears, Zhu Ying Tai, Music Box, Dream of the Red Chamber, Don’t Say Love Is Wrong, Moonlight, and Glimmer. Among them, The Sky Without Tears completed 16 full-house performances, with approximately 300 to 350 audience members per show, demonstrating her strong theatrical foundation and ability to bring characters to life with emotional depth.
