About
In a world of billions, you move, you speak. But are you truly being seen?
will you be my witness? is a genre-blurring theatrical-dance performance that navigates our quietest desire: to be known, remembered, and felt. Drawing inspiration from the question, “If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” The work explores what it means to exist without being witnessed—and what we risk when we exist only to be seen.
Six performers move between chaos and grace—searching for love, recognition, and the courage to face themselves. Honest, intimate, and layered, the piece unfolds in a world shaped by movement, rhythm and lighting.
Yet beneath the noise, will you be my witness? becomes a meditation on “sonder”—the quiet realization that every person has a vivid, complex inner life. The search for a witness—someone to truly see our truth—becomes a mirror: before we ask to be seen by another, we must first learn to see ourselves.
Part movement. Part theatre. Entirely human.
Emotionally raw, visually arresting, and laced with absurdity, will you be my witness? invites you to look—and to be looked at.
Content Warning
will you be my witness? includes sudden loud sounds, intense strobe lighting, extended blackout, themes of identity, disconnection, digital overload, and existential reflection. Viewer discretion is advised. Recommended for mature audiences only.
