Lorong Cermin

Lorong Cermin. The backroad of a small but vibrant town being rebuilt four years after a devastating flash flood. It is here where an aspiring writer by the name of Kee calls home. However, between a strained relationship with his single mother and his budding feelings for a childhood friend, Kee struggles to find his place among the townspeople. And when the threat of another storm looms in the horizon, he will soon find himself confronting a truth long lost, a secret long buried.

Directed by Christopher Ling, with music by Joe Loy and featuring puppets made by our graduating students under the guidance of SIAPA Theatre, ‘Lorong Cermin’ is an original musical written by Perassath and Merah Malam that tells a story about memory, resilience, and the fragile beauty of finding love and forgiveness after the waters recede. Can hope and redemption rise above the ghosts of the past, or will it all be washed away in the coming rain?
