A Thousand Nights of Wonder - Inspired by Tales from the Arabian Nights

Synopsis

What happens when ancient tales meet young imaginations?

A Sultan, wounded by betrayal, has lost his faith in love and trust. Then comes Scheherazade, carrying no sword, no treasure and no magic, but stories.

Night after night, genies appear, princes and princesses embark on unexpected journeys, fishermen tempt fate, and ordinary people find themselves in extraordinary adventures. Each tale brings wit, courage, folly and wonder and slowly, a hardened heart begins to change.

Inspired by the timeless Tales of the Arabian Nights, C8 Dove brings these stories to the stage with youthful energy, imagination and heart. Step into A Thousand Nights of Wonder, where one story opens the door to another, and a story well told may just have the power to heal, transform and change a life.

Organisation Background

At Sasana International School, we believe the best learning is lived. Class 8 Drama brings that belief to the stage. Students make the stories their own, rewriting scenes and dialogue, and bringing their own humour, ideas and imagination to the production. Along the way, they collaborate, take responsibility for a real theatre production, and learn not only to perform, but to grow.

Your ticket is more than a seat in the theatre. By attending, you celebrate a pivotal moment in our students’ journey and become part of the encouragement that helps young people grow in confidence, creativity and responsibility.

All proceeds from the production will support Class 8 Dove and Sasana International School’s fundraising efforts.

There is no formal age restriction, as parents know their children best. To keep the story alive for everyone, we kindly ask that every child has their own seat, remains seated and quiet during the performance, and, if they become restless, steps outside briefly with an accompanying adult until they are ready to return. Thank you for helping us create a wonderful theatre experience for all.
