Short + Sweet Malaysia Festival 2026: STAND-UP COMEDY & SONG

The world’s biggest little festival,  which started in Australia and has taken the world by storm, continues in Malaysia for the 19th year running!

Helmed by none other than Festival Director Dato’ Dr. Faridah Merican and housed yearly at klpac, SHORT+SWEET Malaysia showcases a varied and exciting range of new works and artistes – some familiar names and some undiscovered gems.

You can choose to catch one or all six genres – SHORT+SWEET Film, Stand-Up Comedy, Song, Dance, Musical and Theatre – over five weeks! Since each work is 10 minutes or under, you’ll get to see not just one but many different works in one night – some crazy, some ridiculous and some outrageous. Best yet, you can vote for your favourite so that it stands to win the Audience Choice Award!

Each group brings their best in hope of winning top honours as the festival also runs as a competition. Each segment ends with a prize giving where the winners will be announced by the Festival Director!

Parental Advice: If your child is restless / crying, please bring them out of the hall. After they’ve calmed down, you can re-enter with the assistance of our ushers.
