About

Through a collaborative devising process rooted in real stories, Bebenang creates a layered and reflective performance that invites audiences to question, re-examine, and reconnect with the narratives that shape our society.

Blending private memories with public struggles, the performers reveal how history, identity, and belonging are woven into our everyday lives. Through personal testimonies, movement, music, and collective storytelling, Bebenang explores the threads that connect generations, communities, and experiences across Malaysia.

It is an open invitation to look at the paths we inherit, the rules we challenge, and the beautiful, messy ways we find our place within a shared tapestry of stories.
