About
The choreography is inspired by the figure of the abdi dalem “Edan Edanan,” whose presence appears during the royal wedding ceremony at the Yogyakarta Palace, for the sons and daughters of the king, serving the function of a ritual offering to ward off misfortune. Beksan Nirbaya, is choreographed as a representation a ritual offering to ward off misfortune an expression meant to ensure that all events proceed smoothly, free from any unfavorable occurrences.
