Step into a world of a magical Christmas with The Fox and the Box, an unforgettable concert-dance-theater for all ages! This special production tells a story of friendship, gratitude, and the precious gift of life through beautiful Christmas music, dazzling dance, and heartwarming drama.

Journey into a snowy forest where a wandering fox discovers three mysterious boxes left for her as Christmas gifts. Inside each one lies a lesson on friendship and life. As the fox unwraps each gift, audiences are invited to reflect on what it truly means to receive and cherish life’s gifts.

From the creative team behind the beloved Rhythm of the Seasons (May 2025), this prequel reveals how the Fox first met her friend, the Deer. Featuring internationally acclaimed musicians, dancers, story teller, and actress, this spectacular performance will feature beloved Christmas classics like Joy to the World, O Holy Night, and more.

Expect glittering costumes, magical dances, Christmas décor, and even falling snow! With moments of audience interaction and heartfelt storytelling, The Fox and the Box invites children, parents, and friends alike to celebrate the wonder and joy of Christmas together.

Q and A

Q: What language will the performance be in? 

The drama will be performed in English, with Chinese surtitles displayed throughout the entire show.

Q. Where is Auditorium A located?

Auditorium A is inside KOMTAR on Level 5.

Please note that there are no signs leading to Auditorium A, and it can be very difficult to find. The only entrance is next to Maybank in Komtar. To the right of Maybank, you will see a set of lifts and the main entrance to Komtar. Take the lift to Level 5 to reach Auditorium A.

Plan to arrive early to allow enough time to locate the venue, and also to experience the pre-performance Christmas activity!

Q: Can you explain about the pre performance activity?

A festive pre-show Christmas activity for all ages will be available at the venue (round tables in the lobby of Auditorium A, Komtar) during the following times:

• 10:15–10:45 AM for the 11:00 AM performance
• 2:15–2:45 PM for the 3:00 PM performance
• 7:15–7:45 PM for the 8:00 PM performance

During these times, you can meet Santa Claus, take photos at the Christmas photobooth, and receive Christmas face painting. These activities are included with your ticket.

Please note that all activities will end 15 minutes before the show to allow the audience to enter and be seated.

Q: What is the difference between the different performance times?

The music, dance, and script will remain the same for all three performances. However, the acting style and audience interaction will vary to suit each audience group.

• 11 AM/ 3PM Performance – Created for young children and their parents.
• 8 PM Performance – Created for youth (teenagers +) and adults. However, children may attend, especially if the other performance times are not convenient for your family.

We recommend choosing only one concert time that best suits you and your guests for the most meaningful experience!

Q: Do babies need tickets? 

Yes, everyone attending the performance—babies included—will need their own ticket, no matter their age. Note that ticket prices are the same for all ages, with the exception of lap infant tickets.

Q: What is a lap infant ticket?

A lap infant ticket is for children age 3 and under who will sit on an adult’s lap throughout the performance. Lap infant tickets must be purchased in the same seating tier as the accompanying adult.

If your child age 3 and under and would like their own seat, you must purchase a regular ticket instead. The ushers may check the lap infant's age, so be prepared to show their ID/IC.
