A Magical Night of Disney Music& Animation 迪士尼经典音乐视听音乐会

R&F Princess Cove Opera House Youth Symphonic Band, based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, was officially established in March 2025. The band is organized by the R&F Princess Cove Opera House, in collaboration with the Johor Bahru Music Society, with Dr. Huang Ying-Hao serving as Artistic Director and Mr. Xie Huan-Bin as Executive Director.

With its core mission of nurturing high-level wind instrument performers, the ensemble aims to become a new benchmark in youth arts education in Malaysia. By integrating world-class music and educational resources, the program offers a systematic and professional training framework that promotes artistic growth and enhances musical literacy among Malaysian youth.

Here, members gain a deep understanding of what it means to be a “well-rounded orchestral musician.” Beyond refining their instrumental techniques, they engage in rich performance experiences, focused workshops, masterclasses, and international exchanges—broadening their global perspectives and enriching their artistic development as they move toward a diverse and professional music career.

This is a passionate and cohesive team. Each rehearsal reflects the members’ disciplined attitude and unwavering enthusiasm for music. Together, they pursue musical harmony and expressive excellence, radiating the unique energy and brilliance of youth through every note.

NG ENG HAO Clarinet

Majoring in clarinet with minors in piano and orchestral conducting, [the individual] attended Hua Ren High School in Batu Pahat during secondary school, where [they] participated in the wind ensemble under the guidance of Mr. Feng Wenyao. In 2018, [they] graduated from the Department of Music at Soochow University, then pursued a Master's degree at National Kaohsiung Normal University in Taiwan. [They] continued [their] academic journey by enrolling in the doctoral program in the Department of Music at Nanjing Normal University, receiving conducting training from Taiwanese conductors Zhang Ji-Ren and Zhang Jia-Yun.

 

[Their] primary teacher was Professor Zeng Su-Ling, with Professor Cai Pei-Zhen as [their] secondary instructor. [Their] Master’s thesis advisor was Professor Li Liang-Shi, and [their] Ph.D. supervisor is Professor Xu Yuan-Yong.

SIA Huan Ping

Graduated from China Conservatory of Music with a master degree in music, instructed by Professor SONG Fei(宋飛). The current chairman of the Southern Chinese Musical Society and vice chairman of the Johor Bahru Music Association (Pertubuhan Peminat Muzik Johor Bahru). Playing violin since the age of 9, joined Foon Yew High School Chinese Orchestra at age 13 and started learning Erhu from teacher Patrick CHEONG(張漢杰) since then. Went Singapore and learnt from teacher Jennifer XU(許文靜) to hone his Erhu playing skills once graduated from secondary school. Imparted with knowledge in music composition and music arrangement theories and techniques by Professor HUANG Xiao Fei(黃曉飛) during the pursuance of music studies in university. Awarded first runner-up in String Section twice in “Yue Lang(樂浪)” Malaysia National Chinese Instrumental Solo Competition both in year 2005 and year 2009. Since 2008, full scholarship was granted to him by Beijing Municipal Government to support his tuition fees in the university. Proposed and involved in the establishment of China Conservatory of Music Foreign Student Experimental Enemble and Johore Bahru Experimental String Ensemble.

We recommend arriving early to secure a spot. 场内停车：谷歌地图搜索 𝙍&𝙁 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙖 𝘾𝙖𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙠 即可抵达，停车场位于1层，歌剧院位于3层。请注意，场内停车位有限，繁忙时段可能会很快填满，我们建议您提前到达以确保找到停车位。

2.Off-site Parking: Search for  𝙍&𝙁 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙐𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙖𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝙀𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 on Google Maps to reach the off-site parking. We recommend parking in the B02 and C03A areas. The parking lot is located on Level -1.
