From the playful brilliance of Malcolm Arnold’s Grand Fantasia and the Brazilian colours of Villa-Lobos’ Chôros No. 2 to the lively rhythms of Saint-Saëns’ Tarantelle, the programme explores the remarkable versatility of these three instruments.
The musical journey continues with Valerie Coleman’s evocative Portraits of Langston, inspired by the poetry of Langston Hughes, before reaching an electrifying finale with Guillaume Connesson’s Techno Parade.
