Join internationally acclaimed pianist Albert Tiu, described by American Record Guide as “an artist of uncommon abilities,” for an intimate piano masterclass exploring interpretation, technique and musical communication. A Juilliard graduate and prizewinner of major international competitions, Tiu has performed with orchestras including the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Hamburg Symphony and Finnish Radio Symphony, and currently serves as Madeline Goh Professor in Piano and Head of Piano at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, NUS, as well as Artistic Director of the Singapore International Piano Festival.
Presented by Rondo Production, in collaboration with the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, NUS, and supported by Prince of Wales Island International School (POWIIS) and Penang Philharmonic Orchestra.
ABOUT ALBERT TIU
Called “an artist of uncommon abilities” by American Record Guide, Albert Tiu has performed with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Hamburg Symphony, Finnish Radio Symphony, and Calgary Philharmonic. In 2005, he gave the Singapore premiere of Samuel Barber’s Piano Concerto with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
Born in Cebu, Philippines, Albert is the Madeline Goh Professor in Piano and Head of Piano at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. A graduate of the Juilliard School, he is a prizewinner of competitions in Pretoria (UNISA), Calgary (Honens), Helsinki (Maj Lind), and Santander (Paloma O’Shea). In 2025, Albert was appointed Artistic Director of the Singapore International Piano Festival.
