About
Ever looked at the intricate, vibrant patterns of Baba Nyonya heritage and wished you could capture that timeless beauty yourself? Or perhaps you’ve always wanted to try your hand at watercolours but didn't know where to start?
Step into a calm, creative afternoon and let your creativity blossom at Heritage Blooms—a foundational watercolour workshop designed specifically for absolute beginners.

What to Expect
In this relaxed, step-by-step session, we will demystify the fluid medium of watercolour. You don’t need any prior art experience, just your curiosity and a willingness to play with colours!
We will guide you through the fundamental building blocks of watercolour painting before weaving those skills together to create gorgeous, heritage-inspired art.
What you will learn:
Water & Pigment Control: Master the delicate balance of paint and water to avoid the dreaded "puddles."
Foundational Techniques: Practice essential skills like wet-on-wet (for soft, dreamy blending), wet-on-dry (for crisp details), brush control and water control.
Floral Anatomy: Learn simple brush strokes to form effortless, elegant petals and leaves.
Heritage Motifs: Discover how to translate the iconic, vibrant patterns and colour palettes of traditional Baba Nyonya tiles and porcelain into delicate watercolour illustrations.
By the end of the workshop, you will bring home your very own hand-painted masterpiece featuring a beautiful blend of traditional Peranakan motifs and lush florals ready to frame or gift!
