In this special 2-hour session, instead of the usual longer 4-hour workshop, you’ll get the chance to try gouache in a shorter, more relaxed format and complete your own painting by the end of it. Whether you’re new to painting or simply looking for a slow, creative afternoon, this workshop invites you to unwind, experiment, and capture little foodie moments on paper.
Take a gentle step into the world of gouache in this cozy, beginner-friendly session inspired by Malaysia’s beloved kopitiam culture. We’ll be painting nostalgic kopitiam favourites like kaya toast, half-boiled eggs, warm cups of coffee, and even fluffy polo buns, while exploring the basics of gouache along the way. This session is perfect for anyone curious about the medium and looking for a gentle, no-pressure introduction.

About the Instructor
Faer is a gouache artist and an avid journaler who brings her love for creativity into every trip she takes. She often sketches street foods, collects little travel souvenirs, and documents memorable details in her journal. These elements come together to form story-filled pages that allow her to relive each journey. Her style of travel journaling encourages others to slow down, observe their surroundings, and enjoy the process of creating. She is excited to share this meaningful and enjoyable approach with the community.
