About

Explore the Klyne Quarter — formerly known as the Hang Lekiu Block — through a walking experience, uncovering stories of heritage, transformation, and local community within Downtown Kuala Lumpur.

The walking experience highlights the area’s evolving urban landscape through key stops, including High Street Studios (HSS) and the broader regeneration story of the precinct, Think City’s placemaking initiatives, partnerships, and public space improvements. Meet long-standing businesses such as Ah Meng Fruits and Jamboo, hear stories from local owners and traders, and uncover restoration efforts and various improvements that brought new life back to the area.

Participants will also explore how businesses including Koh Chuan Huat Tea, Indah Suria Trading, JOKOPI, and HSP have come together to activate the precinct through collaborations, events, and shared community efforts. The walk concludes at Toffee, featuring rooftop and laneway views alongside UR-MU, gallery activations, cafés, workshops, and creative businesses shaping the Klyne Quarter today.
