About

Kuala Lumpur is a city constantly evolving, but hidden among the modern skyline are vibrant markets, rich cultures, amazing food aromas and the warm hospitality of the locals. Our passionate local guides will take you on an unforgettable ride through the City of Contrasts and Diversity, sharing stories, history and hidden gems along the way. Join a group tour and discover the real Kuala Lumpur while supporting sustainable travel and local communities.

The BEST of Kuala Lumpur CLASSIC

The city’s blend of traditions and cross-cultural influences gives it an irresistible charm. Kuala Lumpur has a unique mix of modern and traditional in its way of life. Similar to some of the biggest cities of the world, Kuala Lumpur is home to different cultures that co-exist side by side.

Start your journey at MikeBikes and pedal into the layered story of Kuala Lumpur — a city shaped by movement, memory and everyday life.

The ride begins in Kampung Baru, one of the city’s oldest settlements, where traditional Malay stilt houses still stand amid coconut palms and banana trees, quietly holding their ground against a changing skyline. Along the way, the streets come alive with neighbourhood markets and long-standing eateries that continue to serve recipes passed down through generations.

At Chow Kit Market — the city’s largest wet market — you’ll step into the rhythm of daily life. Vendors call out, produce spills over in vivid colour, and the scent of spices lingers in the air. Here, you’ll pause to sample local flavours fresh from the source.

From there, the route unfolds across the cultural fabric of the city. Cycle into the Indian enclave for a hearty local brunch, where Malay and Indian influences meet on the plate, before continuing on to Chinatown to visit the historic Sin Sze Si Ya Temple — a quiet yet enduring spiritual landmark.

The journey carries on through the Golden Triangle, where the iconic Petronas Twin Towers rise into view.

Led by a local guide, this cycling experience offers more than just a route — it’s a moving introduction to the many layers of Kuala Lumpur, revealing how tradition and modernity continue to coexist, overlap and redefine one another in a city often described as a true crossroads of contrasts and diversity.

The BEST of Kuala Lumpur CLASSIC
