About

Discover the Dataran Merdeka Heritage Area through a curated walking experience exploring Kuala Lumpur’s civic heart, architectural heritage and ongoing conservation efforts.

Beginning at the three flagpoles at Dataran Merdeka right across of Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, the tour introduces the broader transformation and revitalisation efforts within the civic precinct, including Think City’s work in supporting heritage conservation and public realm improvements.

Participants will then journey into the iconic Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad (BSAS) for an architectural and conservation tour, uncovering the building’s history, restoration process and significance within Kuala Lumpur’s urban identity.

The experience concludes at the BSAS courtyard, offering a moment to reflect on the heritage and evolving future of the precinct.

Disclaimer: This walking experience does not include access to the galleries.
