About

Sacred Grounds: Volume III – New Beginnings

Horrifying. Hopeful. Messy.

Three words that first came to mind when we thought of New Beginnings.

Beginnings are rarely clean slates. They carry the traces of what came before — tender transitions, murky in-betweens. Within these messy layers lie the seeds of resilience, courage, and hope.

This volume of Sacred Grounds, we invite you to explore all of these messy, human moments with us.

Sacred Grounds is a year-long programme dedicated to bridging poetry to new worlds. Built on three pillars — Performance, Education, and Community. Sacred Grounds creates spaces where poetry can be experienced, practised, and shared beyond the page. Grounded in the belief that poetry lives in people,  not just on the page, Sacred Grounds invites seasoned practitioners, first-time writers, and curious audiences to gather, slow down, and reconnect with language as a shared practice.
