Sacred Grounds is a year-long programme dedicated to bridging poetry to new worlds. Built on three pillars — Performance, Education, and Community — Sacred Grounds creates spaces where poetry can be experienced, practised, and shared beyond the page.
Through biannual live poetry shows, Sacred Grounds centres performance as a meeting point between poets and audiences. Through workshops, it offers guided entry points for writers of all levels to learn, experiment, and deepen their craft. Through table reads, it nurtures community by bringing people together to listen, read aloud, and engage in conversation around words.
Grounded in the belief that poetry lives in people, not just on the page, Sacred Grounds invites both seasoned practitioners and first-time writers to gather, slow down, and reconnect with language as a shared practice.
