About
Naraksha is an intimate psychological drama that tells the story of Aksha, a 17-year-old girl whose dream to dance clashes with strict parental expectations and the unseen dangers of the digital world. Set within a Malaysian Tamil household, the performance explores youth mental health, cyberbullying, cultural identity, and the emotional cost of being unheard.
Blending Bharatanatyam with contemporary theatre, Naraksha uses movement, minimalistic staging, and raw emotional storytelling to reflect the inner world of a young girl caught between tradition, family control, and online harm. Inspired by real events, this production creates an intimate and thought-provoking experience that invites audiences to reflect on communication, protection, and responsibility both at home and online.
