About

In the creation of the riverside into a public park, KRF envisioned spaces and structures that could adapt and transform. Inspired by the follies in the Parc de la Villette by Bernard Tschumi, each folly is an organisational point arranged across the park, creating a sense of place. Although repetitive in nature, each folly  is unique with no designated program.

The River Acrobats function similarly, as points along the river, guiding the visitors along the riverside. Standing tall, each creature is reimagined as guardians roaming the riverside, each carrying a memory of the river, such as the forgotten rubber smokehouse, the fishermen, the jetty, the dobi, and the childhood memories by the river.

Everyone is welcome to visit this free and open installation at any time during the advertised festival period (26.09 - 5.10)!
