Expanding on A Tale of Two Kampungs cultural mapping research, the research team shares on their research findings and experiences in mapping and understanding the human-river relationship of two riverine settlements by the Klang River – Kampung Pasir Baru and Taman Hock Ann.

Through this conversation and dialogue session, the research team would like to take this opportunity to engage the local residents on their memories of the kampungs and the public on their own river experiences, propelling the research into the next phase of collecting lived experiences and memories, and exploring further what does the river mean to the city, what it means to be a kampung amidst urbanisation, ecological transformation, and the archives of utopian dreams.
