Be part of Pertandingan Nyanyian Lagu Seni Malaysia “I Nostri Canti” 2026, a celebration of Malaysian art songs that highlights the richness, diversity and artistic expression of Malaysia’s musical heritage.

The competition is proudly presented as part of the Festival Muzik Antarabangsa ASWARA 2026, a three-day celebration of music, performance and artistic excellence taking place from 23–25 October 2026.

KEY DATES

Preliminary Round – Video Submission Submission Deadline: 15 October 2026

Final Round – Live Performance Date: 24 October 2026 (Saturday) Time: 10.00 AM Venue: Dewan Orkestra ASWARA

Selected participants from the preliminary round will advance to the final round and perform live with piano accompaniment.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION

The competition provides a platform for singers to showcase their interpretation and appreciation of Malaysian art songs, while encouraging greater awareness and appreciation of Malaysian musical repertoire.

Participants must perform a song in which both the text and music are composed by Malaysians. Patriotic songs are also permitted.

Eligibility: Open to participants aged 16 years and above and for solo performance only

PRELIMINARY ROUND

The preliminary round will be conducted online through video submission.

Each participant is required to present ONE SONG ONLY.

The same song may be performed in both the preliminary and final rounds.

Participants may use backing track accompaniment for the preliminary-round video submission.

Video Submission Deadline: 15 October 2026

FINAL ROUND

Shortlisted participants will be invited to perform in the final round on 24 October 2026 at 10:00 AM at Dewan Orkestra ASWARA, as part of the Festival Muzik Antarabangsa ASWARA 2026.

The final round will feature live piano accompaniment, giving participants the opportunity to present their musical interpretation in a professional performance setting.
