Camping in the City

Camping in the City invites you to slow down, step away from the everyday rush, and spend a night closer to the Klang River. Set against the backdrop of Old Klang Road’s urban landscape, this unique experience transforms the riverside into a temporary outdoor retreat — where nature, community and the city come together. Wake up to the sounds of the river. Gather around with friends and family. Share stories, food and laughter under the night sky. Take part in simple activities that reconnect us with the river and remind us that nature is never as far away as we think. More than just an overnight camping experience, Camping in the City is an opportunity to rediscover the Klang River as a place for people — a place to pause, play, connect and create memories. Come pitch a tent, leave the city behind for a while, and experience Klang River Festival from a different perspective. Stay by the river. Sleep under the city lights. Wake up to a different side of Kuala Lumpur. 

Campsite Condition

Our urban campsite offers a simple, back-to-basics camping experience by the river. Participants will have access to a designated camping area, with camping patches available on a first-come, first-served basis. The campsite also provides portable toilets and a common dining area for meals and gatherings.

Please note that there are no shower facilities or running water available on site. Participants are required to prepare and bring their own camping gear, including tents, sleeping equipment, lighting, cooking essentials and other personal necessities.

Come prepared, embrace the outdoors, and enjoy a unique night of camping by the Klang River, right in the heart of the city.
