About
“Reconnecting Through Frames – Stop-Motion Art Screening & Talk” is a special session by artist Raito Low, featuring a stop-motion film screening followed by an artist sharing talk. Through her artistic practice, Raito transforms natural materials such as plants, seeds, stones, and cultural objects into moving visual stories that reflect themes of nature, identity, and belonging.
Her frame-by-frame stop-motion process reveals the beauty of patience and resilience, where small, repeated actions come together to form meaningful narratives. This approach also mirrors the journey of self-discovery and emotional reflection, especially within the context of migration, memory, and cultural connection.
Set in the historic Old Jail environment, this session invites participants to experience how stop-motion art can reconnect fragmented relationships between people, land, and memory—while offering space for reflection, storytelling, and shared understanding.
