Grow Community Market is Penang’s first green pop-up market, launched in 2017 at Juru Autocity by Pop & Chee Healthy Home Farming. As Malaysia's only no-rubbish-bin market, it champions sustainable living, local craftsmanship, and zero-waste practices, initially supporting organic farmers and now embracing a diverse community of vendors, artists, local farmers, and special needs groups.
In 2021, the market established a fixed monthly event every first Saturday at Hin Bus Depot, creating a vibrant platform where conscious consumers, eco-friendly businesses, and artisans connect, trade, and inspire mindful consumption. With nine years of experience, Grow Community Market fosters climate action, health & wellness, conservation awareness, and ethical habits like plastic-free operations, reusable containers, and support for social enterprises—all aligned with Penang 2030’s vision and ESG principles.
More than a marketplace, it’s a community movement uniting like-minded individuals, organizations, and companies. Its annual highlight, Earth Fest, amplifies this impact by bringing together partners for social and environmental change.
