Tourism is not just about places we visit, but the people and stories behind them. This session looks at how community-based tourism can create more meaningful connections — where local communities are not just part of the experience, but at the heart of it.

Through sharing from on-ground practitioners, we explore how tourism can support livelihoods, preserve culture, and respect nature, while avoiding the pressure of overdevelopment. What does it take to build tourism that truly benefits the community, and how can small, thoughtful approaches open up new possibilities for the future?
