Sin Sze Si Ya Temple Pioneers of Kuala Lumpur Museum is located next to the oldest Chinese temple in Kuala Lumpur, Sin Sze Si Ya Temple.

Inside the museum, visitors can explore valuable temple artefacts and historical archives while gaining a deeper understanding of the development of Kuala Lumpur from its founding to the present day, as well as the life and contributions of Yap Ah Loy.

Through its rich exhibitions and historical narratives, the museum offers visitors a more comprehensive appreciation of the cultural significance of Sin Sze Si Ya Temple and the early history of Kuala Lumpur.

The contents of our museum have been divided into two galleries: The Early History of Kuala Lumpur, and The Cultural History of Sin Sze Si Ya Temple.

Under these two galleries, there are nine parts:

  • The Birth of Kuala Lumpur
  • The Establishment of Sin Sze Si Ya Temple
  • Kapitan Yap Ah Loy and the Early Years of Kuala Lumpur
  • The Era of Trustees
  • Transformation of Kuala Lumpur
  • The Board of Trustees
  • The Deities Worship in the Temple
  • Temple Artefacts
  • History and Architecture of the Temple

Visitors who mention the KL festival at the counter will receive a 50% discount on entry tickets.


Muzium Peneroka Tokong Sin Sze Si Ya Kuala Lumpur terletak bersebelahan Tokong Sin Sze Si Ya iaitu rumah ibadat Cina tertua di Kuala Lumpur.

Di dalam muzium tersebut, pengunjung boleh meneroka pameran artifak berharga dan arkib bersejarah tokong tersebut, pada masa yang sama mendalami ilmu pengetahuan tentang pembangunan Kuala Lumpur bermula dari tahun-tahun terawal hingga ke masa kini. Selain itu, pengunjung juga dapat mempelajari tentang sumbangan Yap Ah Loy terhadap kota ini.

Melalui pameran dan naratif yang sarat dengan sejarah, muzium ini turut menawarkan pengunjungnya sebuah apresiasi yang lebih menyeluruh tentang kepentingan budaya Tokong Sin Sze Si Ya dan sejarah awal Kuala Lumpur.

Kandungan muzium ini terbahagi kepada dua galeri: Sejarah Awal Kuala Lumpur dan Sejarah Kebudayaan Tokong Sin Sze Si Ya.

Di bawah kedua-dua galeri itu, terdapat sembilan bahagian:

Pengunjung boleh menikmati diskaun sebanyak 50% untuk tiket masuk apabila menyebut tentang “KL Festival”.
