About

Join us for Literature, Global Ecology, Feminine Spirit, a reflective sharing session that explores the relationship between women, nature, and cultural resilience through the lens of ecofeminism.

Inspired by the works and ideas of Vandana Shiva, this session introduces the concept of ecofeminism—an understanding of how the wellbeing of women, communities, and the environment are deeply interconnected. While the term itself may feel academic or unfamiliar, its spirit has long existed in everyday acts of care, protection, resistance, and community-building led by women across generations.

Speaker Shakila Zen will guide participants through a gentle and accessible sharing on literature, ecology, and feminine perspectives in today’s global context. The session concludes with a special classical Javanese dance performance by Sekartaji, symbolising a woman’s journey in search of her true self and inner balance.

This programme combines storytelling, thought, movement, and cultural expression into a meaningful Earth Fest experience.
