MADANI Philharmonic Musical Concert 2026: A Tune of Friendship and Unity in Harmony

The Kinta Valley String Orchestra (KVSO) is a vibrant community ensemble based in Perak, Malaysia, dedicated to promoting orchestral music and enriching the local arts scene.

Established in 2023, under the society of Kinta Valley Symphonic Society (KVSS), KVSO brings together musicians from diverse backgrounds—including students, educators, working professionals, and experienced performers—united by a shared passion for music.

From its inception, the orchestra has placed classical music at its core, performing works by great composers while exploring the depth and expressive beauty of the string orchestra tradition. In addition, KVSO frequently collaborates with wind and brass musicians to present full symphonic repertoire, offering audiences the richness and power of a complete orchestral experience.

KVSO is deeply committed to growth and continuous learning. The orchestra regularly engages coaches and mentors from around the world, providing members with valuable opportunities to refine their skills and broaden their musical perspectives. In year 2024 & year 2026, KVSO proudly participated in an international exchange concert with the Feroci Philharmonic Orchestra & Music Faculty of Silpakorn University in Bangkok, Thailand, strengthening cross-cultural connections and fostering artistic collaboration.

In 2025, KVSO achieved a significant milestone by co-presenting a major concert at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP) as part of the Kinta Valley Symphonic Society. This landmark performance brought together diverse orchestral forces on one of Malaysia’s most prestigious stages, showcasing the unity, versatility, and growing impact of the Kinta Valley music community.

With thoughtfully curated programmes, KVSO presents concerts that blend classical masterpieces with film music, popular works, and contemporary compositions. This diverse programming approach makes orchestral music more engaging, relatable, and accessible to a wide audience. Whether performing in concert halls or community settings, the orchestra strives to inspire, connect, and resonate with listeners of all ages.

Education and outreach remain central to KVSO’s mission. The orchestra actively organizes music camps, youth workshops, and collaborative projects with schools and local & international institutions—creating meaningful opportunities for young musicians to learn, grow, and develop their talents.
