About

The Embun Ensemble presents an evening of piano trio masterpieces that traverse shadow, colour, and rhythm across three musical worlds. The programme opens with the famous “Ghost” trio by Ludwig van Beethoven, with bold contrasts and intensity and the eerie slow movement which earned the piece its nickname. Debussy’s piano trio represents youthful passion with lyrical melodies and colourful imaginations that later defined the composer’s style. The recital closes with Piazzolla’s exuberant “Primavera Porteña”, where the ensemble becomes irresistibly rhythmic, bringing the programme to a vibrant end.
