INTO STILL LIFE
Into Still Life is a performance exploring the paradox of stillness and movement as interdependent forces. Building on the oxymoronic nature of “still life,” where “still” suggests immobility and “life” implies change, the work investigates how tension and harmony coexist, and how dissonance and resonance are inseparable within human experience.
Rooted in the philosophy of yin and yang, the performance examines contradictions not as opposites to be resolved but as conditions for balance and renewal. This framework is deeply relevant to contemporary challenges of well-being. In a world marked by constant flux, cultivating presence and noticing subtle movements within stillness becomes an essential practice of care. This work invites audiences into a meditative encounter where the dissonant, unsettling, and unresolved meets the resonant, harmonious, and sustaining.
