House of Others begins with Raphael Bligh coming back to Sibu after quitting his job in America. Even with his family and friends, secrets and differences have been discovered. Walking away from the conflict, he steps into a world of his desires. Who created this world and can Raphael escape it?

An immersive 90-minute play that draws inspiration from Sarawakian folklore and children’s horror movies.

It entails the hopes of a dying mother, Carla who wishes for the everlasting joy of her children. From this final wish, the story spirals toward her eldest son. Raphael, a man molded by Western culture becomes the very vessel of his mother’s wish.

"But what does joy mean in a house haunted by memory? Will Carla’s wish be fulfilled? Is this Sarawakian household really like the others?"
