Munchausen by Proxy: Volume 2 is a continuation idea from the director, Shah Irwan. Written by Yusof Bakar and published by Bilberkarya Production and Persatuan Karya Agung, this production highlights a distinct directorial concept. The performance features four main actors — Umi Kalsom, Azerai Azmi, Azwan Ahmadi, and Shera Rashid — supported by a 17-member Greek chorus.

In Volume 1, Nurlela is a mother who suffers from severe dementia. Her condition manifests through repeated mistakes and memory lapses. Solihin, her son, is torn between his love and duty towards his mother and his commitment to his wife, Melati, who is also Nurlela’s daughter-in-law. The situation worsens when it is revealed that some of them are actually suffering from Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome.

In Volume 2, after discovering that her husband Solihin has been giving the wrong medication to his mother, Nurlela, Melati is threatened by Solihin to keep the secret. Fearful, Melati submits to his intimidation. One day, she accidentally encounters Slamet — a meeting that leads to an unexpected reunion between Nurlela and Solihin. Solihin welcomes Slamet’s arrival, while Melati seizes the opportunity to ask Slamet for help. What will happen next?
