Embark on a musical journey with the acclaimed Portuguese pianist, Bernardo Santos, as he performs a programme traversing continents, eras and emotions. The evening opens with a celebration of Portuguese and Brazilian voices, from the vibrant rhythms and heartfelt lyricism of Heitor Villa-Lobos’s Bachianas Brasileiras No. 4 to the elegance of Frederico de Freitas’s Theme and Variations.

The recital then soars into the spiritual realm of Franz Liszt's Two Legends, where St Francis preaches to the birds and walks on water, set to music of transcendent brilliance. The recital closes with the fiery passion and dazzling virtuosity of Frédéric Chopin’s Scherzo No. 3, showcasing the piano as both storyteller and force of nature.
