What does it mean to belong? To remember? To imagine a different Malaysia?
Echoes of Home invites you to a powerful evening of Malaysian cinema that explores the themes of identity, memory, and social complexity through two bold, critically acclaimed films:
🎬 Pendatang (2023) by Ng Ken Kin
A provocative dystopian tale that challenges our views on race, citizenship, and power.
🎬 Lelaki Harapan Dunia (2014) by Liew Seng Tat
A poetic, darkly comic look into kampung life, community, and generational myth.
Each screening is followed by an exclusive Q&A session with the directors, offering rare insight into the creative and cultural forces behind these remarkable stories.
