Malaysian Conductor / Composer, Caeleb Tee, was raised in Bentong, Pahang. He is active in the local sacred music scene, leading numerous church choir in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur area. He is currently the Artistic Director of Yin Qi Music, led Yin Qi Choir and orchestra in numerous performances such as Haydn’s Mass for troubled times, Rutter’s Requiem, Dubois’ Seven Last Words of Christ, and “Glorious Nights of Hymns II”. He has founded Caeleb Tee Music and the newly established 12-tone Ensemble. His production "Love and Strength United" became one of the recipients of The BOH Cameronian Grants for New Productions 2022 by Kakiseni, in which he conducted Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No.3 and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy.
As a composer, Caeleb have had compositions and arrangements performed by Yin Qi, BachFest Malaysia, The World Association for Chinese Church Music, Hallelujah Oratorio Society, Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra, Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre String Orchestra, Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Westminster Chinese Music Ensemble, and Westminster Community Orchestra. He is also currently lecturing part-time at UiTM Conservatory of Music, specializing in Orchestra Technique, and Post-graduate Music Theory Application.
Caeleb holds Master’s Degree in Music Composition from Westminster Choir College (Princeton NJ), and Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from Liberty University (Lynchburg VA). His choral work “For I Know The Plans I Have For You” won the Westminster Choir College Commencement Anthem Competition, and was presented during the Class of ’17 Commencement Ceremony at Princeton University Chapel. His piano work “Four Bagatelles” won the 2016 Andrew Phillips Award. When Caeleb was at Liberty University, he won the Aria & Concerto Competition, and performed Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto with the Liberty University Symphony Orchestra. He has also received both the Senior Pianist of the Year 14-15 Award, and Outstanding Musician Award from Liberty University.
