Vortice Voyeur; From Water Station, Ota Shogo is a digital performance inspired by a movement text. A moving body is centred in the viewer’s digital screen and is overlaid with sound and its own mirrored image. Knotted gestures, distorted audio, and telepresence are mixed in the absence of spoken words. Commutation between Chen JieXiao (performer), Urich Lau (media artist), Andy Yang (sound artist) questions the real-time and the real space. It is streamed live to the viewers' personal confines away from the stage. The live streaming experience performs today’s digital disruption of space and utterance of the silenced body, like those in Ota Shogo’s barren landscape.
