Imagine a whirlwind of adventure, espionage, and rollicking humor, all wrapped up in a delightful theatrical package! The 39 Steps is a fast-paced romp through the world of mystery and intrigue, adapted from John Buchan’s novel and Alfred Hitchcock’s iconic film.
Our dashing hero, Richard Hannay, finds his humdrum life turned upside down when he encounters a mysterious woman claiming to be a spy. After she’s murdered in his flat, Hannay becomes entangled in a web of deceit as he’s chased by a secret organization known as “The 39 Steps.”
With over 80 characters played by a ridiculously talented cast, the play goes from a London music hall to the remote highlands of Scotland. It’s a comedic tour-de-force that includes legendary scenes like the chase on the Flying Scotsman, a harrowing escape on the Forth Bridge, and a murder in the theatre!
