Symphonic Cello

The Cello Choir will be presenting a series of famous classical tunes and orchestral works rearranged for cello ensemble, which includes two renowned cello concertos. 

Repertoire

- GOLTERMANN Nocturne for cello quartet
- VIVALDI Concerto for two cellos in G minor, RV 531 (arr. for cello octet by Orfeo Mandozzi)
●     Soloist: Timmy Lim Ji Yuan and Ooi Yong Jian
- POPPER Requiem, Op. 66 (arr. for cello sextet by W. Thomas Mifune)
- BEETHOVEN Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67, III. Allegro (arr. for cello sextet by Timmy Lim)
-Intermission-
- HAYDN Concerto for Violoncello and Orchestra in D major, Op. 101, Hoboken VIIb:2 (arr. for solo cello and cello sextet by Gwyn Seymour)
●    Soloist: Hen Lit Ming 
- BARBER Adagio for Strings, Op. 11 (arr. for cello sextet by Ekachai Maskulrat)

ABOUT The Cello Choir
The Cello Choir was launched in 2020 by our founder—Ms. Julie Dessureault. We started out as a small group of cellists working on several internal projects that led us to the idea of playing in a cello ensemble. As a group of passionate young cellists, we look forward to creating a cello community that shares a mutual passion for music and aim to support the musical development of our members by creating opportunities for them to perform in recitals, masterclasses and festivals.
