JOM TARI Traversing Space, Site-specific and Stage Performance, In Celebration of International Dance Day 2026

International Dance Day, which falls on 29th April every year, celebrates dance as an art form that brings people together across cultural divides. Our Dance Programme recognizes the significance of this celebration and has organized performances since 2019 in efforts to advocate DANCE.

This year, the Dance Programme of the Faculty of Creative Arts will collaborate with the Cultural Centre of Universiti Malaya to celebrate International Dance Day. The programme will be held on 6 May 2026, as 29 April falls within the mid-semester break.

The performance will feature both site-specific and main stage works by lecturers, students, and alumni of the Dance Programme, alongside special invited guests, including Sekolah Seni Malaysia Johor, Sekolah Seni Malaysia Kuala Lumpur, the Faculty of Film, Theatre & Animation (UiTM), Sekolah Puncak Alam 2, and ASK Dance Company.
