GEMA RAJANG

Heavily aligning with the WAK Festival 2026 theme Shoots, this performance nurtures emerging young actors alongside veteran cultural practitioners to revitalize Sarawak's eco-theatre movement. The play features an evocative, ethno-fusion soundtrack to dictate the emotional gravity of the space. To heighten the sensory experience, the performance relies on intricate Gobo light projections, displaying shifting forest canopies and bleeding looms that directly react to the live actors on stage. This production is a poignant call for climate justice and a fierce celebration of native identity.
