soft soft sands gathers artists of different disciplines around this constellation: Kuantan, and what it means to look at a place carefully. For some this is a homecoming. For others it is a first conversation with somewhere new. The works in this space are what they found — or what found them.

About

soft soft sands is where Kuantan becomes a possible space for art, a place beyond pretty beach colours in a frame and curious little corners. Curated by Low Pey Sien, this exhibition aspires to be an enclave where the monsoon-shaped and culturally rich people of Kuantan can bond, debate, and celebrate their connections to this place called home.

Come witness what Kuantan has to testify about its past, itself, and its time ahead — through 15 or so (or more!) Kuantan-inspired works by orang-orang Kuantan, alongside visiting Thai friends from Kultx Collective. The works explore diverse disciplines, including family histories, environmental change, and architectural memory.

Note: Exhibition will be open to public until 12 July 2026. Operation hour varies, and individual venues reserve the right to change their hours.
