About

Dr. Darius Lim 

Dr. Darius Lim is a celebrated Singaporean Conductor-Composer known for his visionary approach to choral music. As the Founder and Artistic Director of Voices of Singapore, he holds prominent positions locally and internationally, including CEO of The Voice Company and Board Member of the International Federation for Choral Music. His compositions, known for their dream-like textures and hopeful messages, have gained international acclaim and been performed by renowned ensembles such as Voces8 and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also the conductor of numerous award-winning choirs who have won Grand Prix and Category Champions in international competitions across Asia and Europe. 

Lim's works have been featured by Sir John Rutter, Choir & Organ Magazine, and at major choral events like the 2023 World Symposium on Choral Music in Istanbul. He is the first Singaporean composer to release a full album on NAXOS Records. Under his leadership, Voices of Singapore has transformed the choral landscape, with over 1,300 singers and 30 choirs, including those serving underprivileged communities. 

Lim has led significant national projects, including the 2020 Singapore Virtual Choir Project and the 2024 National Day Parade. Recognized globally as a leading advocate for choral music, he has been invited to lecture and adjudicate at international events such as the World Choir Games and the Romano Gandolfi International Choral Conducting Competition. 

Darius Lim’s contributions to the Singaporean music industry were further acknowledged in 2021 when he presented “The Voices of Singapore – Strengthening a Nation Through Choral Singing” at TEDx, in 2024 when he was presented with the Distinguished Alumni Medal by the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and in 2025 when he was awarded the Tatler Leaders of Tomorrow Gen.T Award.
