About

Bangunan Pak Peng, located along Jalan Petaling in Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown, is a mid-20th-century commercial building associated with Cheong Yoke Choy (Pak Peng), a prominent figure in the city’s early entertainment and property sectors. The building functioned primarily as a small retail and commercial hub, housing modest shops and services that supported the everyday economy of Chinatown. Today, as many units sit underused, Bangunan Pak Peng stands as a reminder of the area’s once-vibrant commercial life and its ongoing transition within the city’s urban landscape.
